1) Information transmitted back to the responder following a particular performance. seeing or hearing about specific features of the results. Feedback may function as a reinforcer or punisher; and/or may serve a discriminative function. 2) Any indication of the effectiveness of a response. An instructor gives feedback when telling a student how well his or her response has met some criteria. Feedback is often as simple as a mark indicating whether a response is "right" or "wrong."
