G-speak
G-speak is a spatial operating environment (SOE) that allows people to use gestures to control computer applications and image manipulation across multiple displays in real time. Developed by Oblong Industries based in Los Angeles, SOE is a new human-machine interface technology that makes it possible for users to operate a computer without a mouse, keyboard or touch screen. Instead, users wear special gloves equipped with electronic and light sensors and communicate with the computer by moving their hands in the air in different ways.
Making its first debut publicly in the 2002 film Minority Report, g-speak is a result of more than twenty-five years of research and development with its origin from the MIT Media Lab.
