reaction turbine
Type of turbine that uses a combination of pressure and running water to produce power. The runner of a reaction turbine is placed in the water in a particular way to specifically allow water to flow over the blades, rather than hitting each blade individually. Project sites with low head and high flows are best suited for reaction turbines.
